Plane crashes in Jamaica, 40 injured

A Boeing 737 American Airlines crashed Tuesday after landing at the international airport in Kingston, Jamaica, injuring 40 passengers on board, according to reports from Kingston .

    "The injured passengers to hospital in Kingston have been laid," said Jamaican Information Minister, Daryl Vaz of the Jamaica Observer. "There are no reports of deaths."

    The Jamaica Gleaner newspaper reported that three people aboard were seriously injured. There were 148 passengers and six crew on board. CNN has reported 145 passengers and seven crew were on the plane.

    The plane crashed into two after his arrival in the pouring rain at the airport and cross the runway about 10 hours clock. American Airlines said the flight originated in Washington DC and made a stopover in Miami.
